September 1910

DMW, which was engaged in electrical construction work, established the DMW Waterwheel Division for the purpose of manufacturing hydroelectric power generation waterwheels, general power waterwheels and various pumps, built a factory in Sekiguchi Suidocho, Koishikawa Ward, Tokyo City and began manufacturing.

May 1911

Takes over large water turbine manufacturing operations from Shibaura Engineering Works Ltd.

October 1915

The company was reorganized as a corporation and renamed DMW Waterwheel Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (capital: 100,000 yen).

September 1918

Established a new factory in Hatagaya, Yoyogi-cho, Tokyo, and relocated the head office and factory.

December 1919

Dengyosha Waterwheel Manufacturing DMW, Ltd. invests in and establishes DMW Prime Mover Manufacturing Co., Ltd.

February 1920

DMW Motor Works Co., Ltd. absorbs and merges with DMW Waterwheel Works Co., Ltd.

March 1955

The company was established with a total investment of 60 million yen from DMW Engine Manufacturing Co., Ltd.

June 1955

Dengyosha Motor Manufacturing DMW, Ltd. was divided into a water wheel division (Tokyo Factory related) and an industrial machinery division (Mishima Factory related) producing pumps, blowers, diesel engines, etc., with Toshiba Corporation taking over the former and our company taking over all operations of the latter.

Acquires shares of DMW Shoko Co., Ltd. from Dengyosha Motor Manufacturing Co., Ltd.

November 1957

Increased capital to 120,000,000 yen.

Increased capital to 240,000,000 yen.

August 1961

Japan Union Pump Co., Ltd. was established as a joint venture with Union Pump Co., Ltd. of the United States for the purpose of selling Union Pumps.

Fuso Shoko Co., Ltd. was renamed Dengyosha DMW, Ltd. for the purpose of selling the machinery manufactured by our company.

ERS (2-cylinder, 2-pressure distribution valve type Energy Recovery Devices for seawater desalination facilities) won the Japan Machinery Federation Chairman's Award in the 2016 (37th) Excellent Energy Saving Equipment Awards.
