Initiatives to reduce Environment impact
Received a "B-" score in the "Water Security" category of CDP 2024
CDP is an international Environment non-profit organization (NGO) founded in the UK in 2000 that encourages companies and local governments to disclose information on climate change and other issues. The information collected by CDP is used by investors and policymakers around the world to help them make decisions.
The "B-" rating that our company received is the fourth highest score out of an eight-level rating (A to D-). A "B-" rating is considered a management level rating, and indicates that the company is "understanding its own Environment risks and impacts and taking action."
We will continue to contribute to the realization of a sustainable Social Responsibility by reducing Environment impact and disclosing information with a high degree of transparency.
Active use of renewable energy sources such as solar power generation facilities
In March 2022, construction of a carport-type solar power generation facility at the Mishima Plant was completed and began operation. With this facility in operation, GHG emissions are expected to decrease by approximately 34 tons per year. The facility is also equipped with a storage battery, which can be used for nighttime power generation and can also provide electricity to local residents in the event of a disaster.
We will continue to actively promote the use of renewable energy and work to further reduce GHG emissions in order to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
Declaration of 100% renewable energy Joining RE Action
In 2022, we joined the "RE Action: 100% Renewable Energy Declaration," a framework in which approximately 340 organizations (as of October 2023), including companies, local governments, and educational institutions, have demonstrated their intention and actions to convert their electricity use to 100% renewable energy, and promote the use of 100% renewable energy. Going forward, through association activities, we will collect information on the introduction of renewable energy and interact with participating organizations, working toward the realization of a carbon-free Social Responsibility.

We plan to gradually introduce renewable energy sources to our facilities.
