Materiality (Key Issues)

The DMW Group aims to contribute to the realization of a sustainable Social Responsibility through its business activities and to sustainably increase its corporate value by defining five Materiality and working on measures to address them.

  1. Materiality 1 Reducing the Environment impact of business activities

    DMW, as a manufacturer of hydraulic and pneumatic machinery, utilizes the technology it has cultivated through its long history and rich experience to manufacture and sell pumps, blowers, valves, Environment equipment, monitoring and control devices, etc. Based on our purpose of "Enriching Lives and Shaping a Better Future Through Water and Air," we accurately grasp the impact that our business activities, products and services have on the Environment, as well as the impact that our company is affected by the Environment, and contribute to the realization of a sustainable Social Responsibility.

    Our Initiatives
    • We will proactively use renewable energy.

    • We will work to conserve energy and reduce waste emissions.

    • Promote the use of alternative compounds to volatile organic compounds.

    • We will promote the introduction of equipment that reduces the Environment impact of factories.

  2. Materiality 2 Resolving customer issues through manufacturing

    DMW's products are used in various Social Responsibility infrastructure facilities both in Japan and overseas, such as water supply and sewerage facilities and power plants. Customer needs are constantly changing in response to Social Responsibility conditions calling for decarbonization and improved productivity, and one of our strengths is our ability to respond flexibly and quickly to each of these needs. We will continue to listen wholeheartedly to our customers' voices and contribute to the realization of a rich future Social Responsibility through manufacturing.

  3. Materiality 3 Expanding business scope

    Based on its corporate philosophy of "business activities centered on manufacturing technology" and striving for future growth, the DMW Group will implement organizational reforms to promote global expansion, strengthen strategic products that form the foundation of global expansion, and develop energy-saving equipment for a carbon-free Social Responsibility.

    The DMW Group has set "enhancing human capital" as one of Materiality. Based on the idea that "human resources are important assets and the driving force behind business advancement," we are working to secure diverse human resources, develop a foundation for Developing People, Empowering Growth, and create a safe, secure, and rewarding working Environment. In order to contribute to the realization of a sustainable Social Responsibility through our business activities and to continuously increase our corporate value, we will work to strengthen our competitiveness by expanding investment in human capital, thereby improving the attractiveness of the workplace and brand power, and ensuring the diversity and globalization of our human resources.

  5. Materiality 5 Enhancing the Governance system

    In order to promote corporate Governance within the DMW Group , we have established the " DMW Group Code of Conduct " as a set of basic rules for Compliance . By making these Codes of Conduct widely known and thoroughly understood by DMW Group's executives and employees, we strive to further strengthen our risk and Compliance management system.
