Hiroshima University donated a single-wheel, single-cylinder Pelton turbine.

DMW Corporation Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "our company") has received a donation of a single-wheel, single-wheel Pelton turbine that had been owned by the Faculty of Engineering at Hiroshima University.
The donation ceremony was held at Hiroshima University on November 25th, and was attended by President and Director Norio Hikosaka.
The waterwheel was manufactured and installed in 1921 after receiving an order from the former Hiroshima Higher Technical School (now Hiroshima University), and was designed by the late Professor Emeritus of Hiroshima University, Takai Hideaki.
The turbine was used for hydroelectric power generation training until the atomic bombing in 1945.
This waterwheel is a valuable historical document that tells the story of the origins of our company's technology. We are currently preparing to exhibit it so that everyone can see it.
