We displayed a Pelton turbine donated by Hiroshima University.
We have displayed a Pelton turbine, donated by the Faculty of Engineering, Hiroshima University (Dean Akihiro Yabuki), in the entrance hall of our Mishima Plant.

This water turbine was manufactured in 1921 by our predecessor, DMW Water Turbine Manufacturing Co., Ltd., for use in hydroelectric power generation training at the former Hiroshima Higher Technical School (now Hiroshima University). The design was by Professor Emeritus Hideaki Takai of Hiroshima University.
The waterwheel was used until 1945 and was then displayed as an "engineering heritage" in the Faculty of Engineering building at Hiroshima University, but was donated to us by the university in 2025. This exhibition was set up to commemorate the 115th anniversary of our company's founding.
This is an extremely valuable historical document that conveys the origins of our company's technology to the present day.
Please be sure to check it out when you visit our Mishima office.
